McCall Macbain Scholarship

The McCall MacBain Scholarship is a full scholarship for master’s or professional studies at McGill University, covering tuition, fees, a living stipend of $2,000 CAD / month during academic terms, and an interdisciplinary enrichment program.

Up to 20 McCall MacBain Scholars will be chosen based on character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity. In addition, up to 60 finalist awards of $5,000 or $10,000 each will be offered to candidates who distinguish themselves through the interviews.

Current students and recent graduates will need an endorsement of their institution. For universities outside of Canada, the applicant must initiate the request. Universities are expected to nominate only three students per year.

 

Eligibility

Canadian students and alumni, including Canadians abroad, are eligible.  Those with Canadian permanent residency or refugee status are also eligible to apply.

Period of Study

McCall MacBain provides support for the duration of the master's or professional degree program.

Deadline(s)

For graduate programs beginning in Fall 2021, the deadline is September 24, 2020 at 4pm EDT.  Students seeking nomination from GW should contact the Center for Undergraduate Fellowships and Research by September 1, 2020.
