WorldTeach partners with governments and other organizations in countries to provide volunteer teachers to meet local needs and promote responsible global citizens. It recruits, prepares and supports effective teachers for the international classroom, seeking those who are dedicated to engaging students in purposeful learning regardless of prior teaching experience.
Yearlong programs are available to China, Ecuador, Marshall Islands, Namibia, America Samoa, and Thailand Isaan.
Summer programs are available to Morocco, Namibia, South Africa, India, Nepal, Brazil, Ecuador, and Mexico.
Eligibility
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Yearlong teaching placements are available to those who have completed their undergraduate degrees by the start of the program.
Application
Selections to the program are made on a rolling basis, and so, it would be important to apply early. The application includes personal information, history, and personal statement. Yearlong programs require a reference and an interview.
Deadline(s)
Deadlines vary by program. Yearlong programs may have deadlines as early as November 1st. Summer program deadlines are often April 15th.
