Current Openings

Peer Tutor

Position Details

  • Undergraduate students only
  • Pay rate will be $17.95 per hour beginning 7/1/25
  • Work 6-10 hours per week beginning in Fall 2025
  • Choose your schedule during Academic Commons Operating Hours: Sunday 12pm-8pm, Monday-Thursday 10am-8pm, Friday 10am-5pm
  • Mandatory training 8/21/25 & 8/22/25 9am-4pm in Gelman Library

  • Please choose your “class level” based on the start of Fall 2025 semester

Timeline Details

  • Accepting applications until 5/30/25 (priority will be given to candidates who apply before 5/20)
  • Reviewing applications and interviewing candidates 6/2/25 to 8/1/25 (approximate)
  • Finalizing hiring decisions and extending offers to successful candidates beginning 8/4/25

Learning Assistant 

Position Details

  • Academic Commons partners with the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Economics, and Physics to hire Undergraduate Learning Assistants (ULAs) for the following courses:
    • BISC 1111
    • CHEM 1110, 1111, 1112, 1113, 2151, and 2152
    • ECON 1001 and 1011
    • PHYS 1011, 1012, 1021, 1022, and 1026
  • Pay rate will be $17.95 per hour beginning 7/1/25.
  • Work from 6-10 hours per week during Fall 2025.
  • Mandatory training 8/21/25 & 8/22/25, 9am-4pm in Gelman Library.
